We can’t wait to see all the creativity and imagination on display! 🏛️🇬🇷 OH, WHAT A GREEK-TASTIC DAY! 🇬🇷🏛️ Our amazing second graders at Candlewood STEM Academy wrapped up their learning with their annual Greek Festival, and it was absolutely AMAZING! 💙🤍 Our Eagles brought ancient Greek history to life through hands-on learning, creativity, and cultural exploration! 🦅✨ 🏛️ Architects in Action! Our second graders put their engineering skills to the test by building their very own Parthenon structures using marshmallows! What a fun way to explore ancient Greek architecture while practicing creativity, problem-solving, and design! 🍇 A Taste of Greece! Students enjoyed a Greek tasting featuring Greek yogurt, pomegranate seeds, and Greek Kalamata olives! They explored new flavors while connecting their learning to Greek culture and traditions. 😋 🕷️ Weaving in Mythology! Our Eagles also learned about Arachne, the weaver from Greek mythology, and celebrated their learning with fun spider rings! A creative way to bring Greek myths to life! 🕸️✨ 📚 From building ancient architecture to tasting traditional foods and exploring mythology, our second graders showed us that learning is an adventure when you can create, discover, and experience it! This afternoon, we briefly experienced a power outage on campus, and we want to take a moment to recognize our amazing faculty, staff, and students! ⭐ We are so proud of the way the majority of our Eagles demonstrated self-control, stayed calm, and handled the unexpected situation. Our faculty and staff were quick and responsive. These moments are wonderful opportunities for our students to practice our SOAR expectations and show what it means to be a responsible Eagle! 💚🧡 Thank you to our faculty, staff, and students and staff for doing their best to navigate an unexpected interruption to our day. We are proud of our Eagles for continuing to SOAR, even when things don’t go as planned! 🦅✨
