Judson ISD is proud to announce that six campuses have been awarded the Purple Star Campus Designation by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) for the 2026-2027 school year, recognizing their outstanding commitment to supporting military-connected students and families. Created by the Texas Legislature, the Purple Star Campus Designation honors schools that demonstrate a strong dedication to meeting the unique academic, social, and emotional needs of military-connected students. The designation is effective for both the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 school years.

To earn the designation, campuses must designate a military liaison, maintain a dedicated webpage with resources for military families, implement a campus transition program, and demonstrate support through initiatives such as Month of the Military Child, Military Family Month, or partnerships with military school liaison officers. The recognition highlights the district's ongoing efforts to provide welcoming, supportive learning environments for students whose families serve in the United States Armed Forces.

In addition to receiving Purple Star recognition, designated campuses will be recognized on TXSchools.gov and by both the Texas Education Agency and the Office of the Governor for their commitment to military-connected students.
