Mrs. Rachelle Diaz

Hi! I’m Rachelle Diaz, and I’m truly honored to serve as the Principal of Candlewood Elementary School. It is my 27th year in education, and my 3rd year here at CWE, home of the Eagles. I joined the Judson ISD family in 1999, after teaching in East Central ISD for 2 years. I taught 3rd grade at Woodlake Elementary as a Response to Intervention (RTI) Teacher. I transferred to Escondido Elementary as the Assistant Principal and served there for two years.

I strongly believe relationships between families and schools are vital to the success of our students. Because of this, I encourage and promote family engagement on our campus in as many ways as possible and ask for feedback on different or better ideas. I strive to support students, promote academic growth and foster college and career readiness by empowering teachers and students to maximize their potential. Please let me know if there is a way I can make our campus a better place for our Eagles to thrive and SOAR!
